Frequently Asked Questions?
We have laundry facilities on site, located on the groudn floor of Block C. The laundry machines are coin operated at R10 per load. If you need change, our site manager usually has some on hand.
Before moving in, please give us two days’ notice so that we can make sure that we are available at your selected time. Office hours are from 08:30 – 16:30, Monday – Friday. The only weekend move in date is the Saturday before O-week begins.
Please note that at the begging of the year we experience high traffic volumes of people moving in. If you do not set a time you may have to wait until we are available.
Yes! If you have a preferred room and it is not booked yet then you are more than welcome to request being placed there. Aside form that rooms are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Of course! We actually prefer if you come with your own roommate because then we know that you are placed with someone who you are comfortable with.
We do not have a laundry service. You will have to do your own laundry when you have the time.
We do not have a cleaning service. Public areas and corridors are cleaned by onsite staff but any cleaning that needs to happen inside your room needs to be done by yourself.
Go to our book now page. There you will find the forms you need to sign. Once everythngis filled out send us the signed forms and supporting documents. Once we have gone through everything and accepted your application we willnotify you to proceed witht e payment.
If not then feel free to come into our office during office hours or during open day and sign the forms in person
Yes! We have two parking lots. One is at the entrence and the other is at the bottom of the property. Parking is free. The entrance parking lot gets full quickly and so we encourage students with cars who are in blocks C,D and E to park at the bottom parking lot which is closer to thier untis.
We love our furry family but unfortunately no, pets are not allowed.
Maintenance issues can be logged either through this website on the report an issue page, via our WhatsApp line or you can come to the office to let us know what the problem is. Our turnaroudn time is typically 2-3 days, but can run loger if we need to call out a contractor.
The rooms are fully furnished so all you need to bring is your bags, some crockery and cutlery and an ethernet cable to connect to the internet.
Electricity is prepaid. You will need to buy electricity and load it onto the meter. On average electricity runs our students about R100 per month.

Please protect your belongings by unplugging appliances when they are not in use
- Please be considerate of others around you
- No loud music after 20:00
- No shouting or running in the hallways
- Please make sure to keep shared spaces clean
- Always keep your room neat and tidy
- Let us know if there are any damages you find in the room. You will be held accountable for any unreported damage found in your room once you vacate.
- Do not remove any furniture from your room without letting us know, or you will be charged for missing items.
- Keep your belongings safe KCI will not be held responsible for any losses, theft, or burglary
- Make sure to lock you room and close your windows when you are not present.
- A lost or stolen key can be replaced but it will be at your own cost.
- Do not tamper with security, you will be fined and held liable for all repair costs.
- The consumption of alcohol on the premises is forbidden.
- No drugs are allowed on the premises this includes marijuana.
- No smoking is allowed in the room, you can smoke on your balcony or outside at designated smoking areas.
- Security will check all incoming cars at the gate for drugs and alcohol
- Only … visitors per tenant are allowed at a time
- All visitors are required to sign in with security with their ID present
- Visitors are not allowed in the building without the tenant being present
- Tenets are responsible for ensuring that their visitors behave appropriately while on the premises.
- If tenants want a guest to sleepover, they are required to fill in a guest sleepover form that will be found at the office.
- Only one guest is allowed to sleep over at a time.
- No weapons.
- Group meetings and demonstrations need to be approved beforehand.
- Consent is needed before posters are put up or handed out.
- Failure to observe these rules will constitute a breach of your lease agreements and could lead to terminations of the lease with immediate effect
- Management reserves the right to make changes when deemed necessary.
